María de los Angeles Cornejo Villegas has worked at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México campus Cuautitlán since 1987. She completed a degree in Food Engineering at UNAM and graduated in 1992, a Master in Engineering at Facultad de Ingeniería UNAM (2006), and a PhD in Engineering Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (2010). Work experience involves the characterization of biomaterials by different techniques includes Infrared, rheological properties, mechanical properties. Line of research includes the characterization or application of starches from different sources and application of nanoparticles in food products. She is a member of the Mexican Society of Food Safety and Quality for Consumers and the Mexican Association of Food Science.
