Henriqueta Louro graduated in Biochemistry (Faculty of Sciences, Lisbon University), holds a Ph.D in Public Health (ENSP, Nova University of Lisbon), and has worked in the Department of Human Genetics of the National Institute of Health under Dr. Ricardo Jorge since 1997. She is a researcher in the field of genetic toxicology. She is also involved in human biomonitoring studies, and her recent work has involved nanotoxicology, with participation in European projects (Nanogenotox and NanoReg) as well as in national projects. She is the PI of the project INGESTnano and co-PI of ToxApp4NanoCelfi (FCT-funded projects).
