Rafael Vidal received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1997 and 2009, respectively. He is an Associate Professor at the same university. He has worked on several publicly funded research projects and is co-author of several papers published in journals and conferences. His current research interests include the performance of wireless networks (in particular, low-power wide-area networks) and the Internet of Things.
