Masahiro Iijima has been a Professor and Chair, Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, at Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Japan, since 2018. From 2005–2018, he was an associate professor in the Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Japan. From 2002–2005, he was an assistant professor in the Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Japan. From 2000–2002, he was a visiting scholar at Ohio State University. From 1998–2000, he was an instructor in the Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Japan. In 1998, he received a PhD at the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Japan. In 1993, he received a DDS at the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Japan. He has a research interest in biomaterials.
