Goč Mountain has a wealth of natural resources, which represent the most important prerequisite for the development of ecotourism. However, the natural resources of this mountain are inadequately utilized for tourism. The aim of the research is to examine the views of tourists on the possibilities for the development of ecotourism on the mountain Goč, with a view to the more intensive tourist development of this mountain. Special attention is paid to the analysis of possibilities for expanding the existing tourist offer, additional attractive contents and activities, which would contribute to the greater competitiveness of this mountain in the ecotourism market. The survey method was used to collect primary data in the research and it included 174 respondents. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that Goč Mountain has the potential for ecotourism development and that the construction of eco-accommodation facilities would contribute to the greater competitiveness of Goč Mountain.

The journal “eco.mont” – Journal of protected mountain areas research and management – was published for the first time in June 2009. The journal was founded as a joint initiative of the Alpine Network of Protected Areas (ALPARC), the International Scientific Committee on Research in the Alps (ISCAR), the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and the University of Innsbruck. The journal aims to highlight research on and management issues in protected areas in the Alps without excluding other protected mountain areas in Europe or overseas. Its target audiences are scientists from all related disciplines, managers of protected areas and interested individuals including practitioners, visitors, teachers, etc. The journal presents peer-reviewed articles in English by authors who research protected mountain areas and management issues within these areas. It's published twice a year as a collaboration of the Austrian Academy of Sciences Press – responsible for the e-version – and Innsbruck University Press – responsible for the print version.

Development of rural tourism in Vojvodina affects the survival of village and livelihoods of its people. Despite the numerous problems that villages of Vojvodina face, an example of good practice is the village of Skorenovac in the municipality of Kovin in Banat. Local culture, traditions and legends of the distant past, and a unique way of life of the population of this village are the primary motives and grounds of the arrival of tourists and they affect the development of rural tourism. The aim of this study was to determine whether there are differences in the consumption of Hungarian tourists in the village Skorenovac in relation to age, level of education and gender. The results of research should serve as encouragement of rural households to monitor socio-demographic characteristics of tourists to suitably form the tourist offer in order to increase profit.

Although the idea of the creation of the first travel agency in Yugoslavia existed in the middle of the 19th century, it took more than sixty years to establish the first travel agency, Putnik, in Belgrade in 1923. Founding of a tourist agency initiated numerous trips, both domestic and foreign, to the places of former Yugoslavia. The most popular destinations in Yugoslavia in the first half of the 20th century were in southern Serbia, Slovenia and the Adriatic. During 1930, business operations of Putnik were marked by cruises and thematic exhibitions in Paris, London, Nice, as well as the opening of a large number of branches in different cities, in the country and abroad. Until the beginning of World War I, important events for the development of tourist travels in Yugoslavia occurred: printing of posters, brochures, promotions of destinations, opening of the Belgrade Fair, making of the first tourist film in colour. After World War II, which had a very negative effect on tourism in the whole world, including Yugoslavia, a period of the country's restoration followed and a golden age of tourism in Yugoslavia started, which by the number of tourists, their overnight stays and tourism revenues have never been exceeded. The appearance of agency activity in Yugoslavia contributed to the creation of a travel culture that has had multiple benefits for both travellers and hosts, but also for the society as a whole.

The aim of this research is to determine the level of importance and performance (usage level) of hotel crisis management measures during the different phases of a crisis: Before-Crisis phase, During-Crisis phase, and After-Crisis phase, and to determine the significant gap between these two levels by surveying the managers of the high-category hotels in Serbia. The questionnaires were filled out by the managers of 162 high-category hotels in Serbia (four-and five-star hotels) during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic caused the sharpest decline in the tourism sector around the world, thus the crisis management applied in tourism enterprises will have a crucial role for the tourism industry in surviving this pandemic. The hotel managers' responses were analyzed by using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The applied methods include the descriptive statistical analysis, paired-samples t-test, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Empirical results showed that hotels were adopting various crisis management measures during the different stages of the crisis, also, the implementation of certain measures significantly affected the business operations of hotels. In addition, hotel crisis management considers that measures implemented during the Before-Crisis phase, During-Crisis phase, and After-Crisis phase are of great importance.

Vojvodina has long been known as an area of high-quality and varied food. In this regard, gastro tourism in its capital is one of the most attractive tourism products. That is the reason why our research was conducted in Novi Sad, aimed to examine the satisfaction of domestic and foreign tourists with the gastro offer of this city. The results of the research show that the gastro offer of Novi Sad is an important motive in attracting both domestic and foreign tourists, but that foreign tourists are still more satisfied with it. Further, there are differences in attitudes between male and female tourists, because male tourists show a higher degree of satisfaction with the gastro offer compared to female tourists, while other socio-demographic characteristics (education and age) are not related to the degree of their satisfaction. The results of the research can be useful in the development of future strategies for the development of tourism in Novi Sad and Vojvodina. They can also serve as a model for analysing tourists' satisfaction with other forms of tourism offer.
