I am an Agricultural Engineer and researcher specializing in irrigation, water productivity, remote sensing, and sustainable Mediterranean fruit production systems. My work combines field experimentation, proximal sensing, and geospatial analysis to improve resource-use efficiency and crop performance. I completed a PhD at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), focused on the sustainability and water productivity of irrigation schemes in the Vale do Lis, Portugal, using remote sensing approaches. Currently, I am a Senior Technician at INIAV (Alcobaça Hub), where I support experimental research on apple orchards, including photoselective net systems, irrigation management, microclimate modification, plant–water relations, and fruit quality. I am also involved in scientific publishing and training activities related to sustainable and organic agriculture.
