Dr. Marianna Pauletto is an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science (BCA), University of Padua. She obtained her Master's degree at the University of Padova in September 2009. Later on, in 2014, she earned her PhD in Veterinary Science. During the PhD and the following post doc experiences, she has mainly worked with aquatic species (i.e., bivalves and fish). She investigated the bivalve's transcriptional changes induced by environmental pollutants, biotic (pathogens), or abiotic (farming practices) environmental stressors. Since 2018, she has worked in the field of veterinary toxicology. Her research activity is mainly focused on the effects of environmental pollutants, toxins, and feed additives in farm animals (e.g., cattle, broiler) and aquatic model species (e.g., Daphnia, guppy).
