I am an expert in integrated assessment of air pollution using meteorological and air quality data, emission inventories and projections, dispersion modelling, and geographic information systems, with 20 years of experience in this field. In 2003, I joined Arianet s..r.l - Milan, where I worked on the impact assessment of new highways and urban road traffic on the atmosphere. In 2009, I joined ENEA with a permanent position. In 2021, I took the head position at the Atmospheric Pollution Laboratory. I work on the integrated assessment of air pollution and the effects on human health, with modelling tools. I am a part of the team managing the National Quality Model Air MINNI, in support of the Ministry of the Environment for air quality policies at the international (CLRTAP, Gothenburg Protocol), European (Directive 2008/50/EU, 2016/84/EU), and Italian (Legislative Decrees no 155/2010 and 81/2018) levels. I represent Italy at the Forum for air quality modelling in Europe - FAIRMODE, and in the CLRTAP task force TFIAM. I have assessed the effects of air pollution on human health, with an epidemiological risk assessment approach for the quantification of mortality and the onset of disease in the Italian territory. I have experience in international cooperation projects for capacity building in the environmental field (Lebanon, with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
