Dr. Colin R. Jackson is an Associate Professor and Researcher in Chemical Biology at the Australian National University. He completed his B.S. studies in Biology at the University of Salford (1991), M.S. studies in Biology at the University of Toledo (1995), and Ph.D. studies in Biology at the University of Alabama (1999). He was a visiting researcher fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel) and a Marie Curie researcher fellow at the Institut de Biologie Structurale (Grenoble, France). His research interests include applied science and using chemical techniques to manipulate biological systems, which can include the design of small molecules (drugs) that change the function of biological molecules or engineering proteins.
