C. Igathinathane is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at North Dakota State University (NDSU), USA. He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Food Engineering in 1997 and M.Tech. in Post-Harvest Engineering in 1991 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Prior to joining NDSU, he was an Assistant Professor in Agricultural Engineering at Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, India. He received the First Place award in the Oral Presentation Competition at the ASABE North Central Intersectional Conference (St. Paul, MN, 2026). He is recognized among the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists for the 2024 single year (Stanford University and Elsevier, 2025). He is a Life Member of ASABE and the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), and a Member of Gamma Sigma Delta (NDSU and Mississippi State University).
