David Varillas-Delgado completed his Bachelor of Biochemistry at the Universidad of Salamanca in 2004. In 2009, David Varillas-Delgado received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Genetics from the Universidad of Valladolid, valued with outstanding "Cum Laude". He is currently enjoined for several grants in research, both in 2020, focused on genetic association with sports performance and physiological adaptation. He is currently the Director at the Research Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, and is undertaking research in the Genetics and Physiology of Sports Medicine and Biomedical Science. He has published a total of 40 scientific articles in journals indexed in relevant positions in JCR.
