Roland Ulber is Professor of Bioprocess Engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He completed his chemistry studies at the University of Hanover in 1994 with a diploma. After obtaining his PhD in 1996 at the Universities of Hannover and Münster, he habilitated in technical chemistry at the University of Hannover in 2002. Since 2004, he has been head of the chair of Bioprocess Engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. His research focuses on white and marine biotechnology, the refinement of renewable raw materials, biosensor technology, downstream processes, and biotransformation.
