Jomarien García earned her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2006) and her Master’s degree in Chemistry (2011) from the University of Havana. She later completed her PhD at the TNI Group, Department of Radiology, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), The Netherlands. She is the Head and Auxiliary Researcher in the Department of Polymeric Biomaterials at the Biomaterials Center, University of Havana. Throughout her career, she has presented over 30 communications at international scientific conferences and has published more than 10 scientific articles. In 2013, she was awarded the Annual Award of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba. Dr García is an active member of the Cuban Society of Chemistry and the Cuban Society of Pharmacy.
