Prof. Yuewen Deng is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Guangdong Ocean University and currently serves as Vice Dean of the College of Fisheries. He is the leading scientist for pearl oyster aquaculture and pearl cultivation in the National Shellfish Industry Technology System and a member of the Sixth National Aquatic Product Original Variety Approval Committee. He was a visiting scholar at the Institute of Ecology, Auckland University of Technology. His research focuses on pearl oyster genetics, breeding, and aquaculture.
