The main purpose of this article is to make use of the Horadam polynomials hnx and the generating function Πx,z, in order to introduce three new subclasses of the bi-univalent function class σ. For functions belonging to the defined classes, we then derive coefficient inequalities and the Fekete–Szegö inequalities. Some interesting observations of the results presented here are also discussed. We also provide relevant connections of our results with those considered in earlier investigations.

Recently, Srivastava et al. [22] reviewed the study of coefficient problems for bi-univalent functions. Inspired by the pioneering work of Srivastava et al. [22], there has been triggering interest to study the coefficient problems for the different subclasses of bi-univalent functions (see, for example, [1, 3, 6, 7, 27, 29],). Motivated essentially by the aforementioned works, in this paper we propose to investigate the coefficient estimates for a general class of analytic and bi-univalent functions. Also, we obtain estimates on the coefficients |a2| and |a3| for functions in this new class. Further, we discuss some interesting remarks, corollaries and applications of the results presented here.

We introduce a unified subclass of the function class of biunivalent functions defined in the open unit disc. Furthermore, we find estimates on the coefficients and for functions in this subclass. In addition, many relevant connections with known or new results are pointed out.
