Dongmei Chen is an Assistant Professor in Fujian Key Laboratory of Translational Research in Cancer and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Institute of Basic Medicine, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Fujian Medical University. She received her Ph.D. in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Xiamen University in Fujian, China. She studied the mechanisms and therapy of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease. Her laboratory uses neuron-derived stem cells and mouse models to study the complex mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative diseases. The main goals of her research are to determine the molecular mechanisms by which protein kinase regulate neurodegenerative diseases and the identification of potential targets for drugs to cure or prevent disease progression.
