Karam Alsafadi's research explores the spatio-temporal interactions between the climate and biosphere at a range of scales, especially in climatic risks and extreme events such as droughts, as well as climate change's impacts on plant disease outbreaks in the Mediterranean region. He also works on spatial modeling of observed climatic parameters for ecological management and long-term sustainability. His main research interests include climatology and agroclimatology, GIS, and remote sensing applications.
