Ikpe Justice Akpan is a full professor of information systems and business analytics at Kent State University, Ohio, USA. He holds a Ph.D. from Lancaster University, UK, specializing in computer simulation and virtual reality. Dr. Akpan serves as an associate editor for the “Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship” and a topic editor for Systems. He has led several special issues as guest editor. His research interests include analytics, information systems, computer simulation and applications, virtual reality, healthcare informatics, and family science. He has published widely, with recent articles appearing in Decision Support Systems, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Journal of Operational Research Society, Journal of Medical Internet Research, and more. His articles in Simulation 95(2) won the Editors' Choice award in 2019. Dr. Akpan has taught at several universities in the USA, UK, Canada, and China.
