Adela M. Sánchez-Moreiras Professor of Plant Physiology at the Universidade de Vigo (Spain) since 2012. After obtaining her PhD in Plant Physiology in 2004, she embarked on a career at the Max Planck Institute of Chemical Ecology (Jena, Germany), where she had the opportunity to develop her skills in molecular biology and ecology. During her research stays in USA, France, Germany, and Italy, she was always interested in the relations between plants, their ways of communicating, and their ability to control the development of other plants. Currently, her group is focused on the herbicidal mode of action of natural products, and the study of the plant response to climate change conditions.
