A vibrating screen is a device for sorting materials, which is widely used in screening plants. The working ability of a vibrating screen relies on various parameters, such as dynamic parameters, technological parameters, and so forth. If it is necessary to find a reasonable set of parameters in order to enhance the machine’s performance, it is essential to set up the vibration equation of the vibrating screen. This is also a part of the research content that the article mentions. The next step is to establish the equation of motion of random point-P on the screen box, conduct the simulation, and discuss the effect of the position of the vibratrion motor on the oscillation of vibrating screens. The result reveals that the farther the point is from the focus of vibrating screen, the higher the effect of the vibration motor placement on the amplitude of vibration will be. The points are symmetrical with each other across the focus tend to create the rule of change is opposite. When the vibration motor is moving in the positive direction of the horizontal direction, the vertical oscillation amplitude of the points lying on the upper sieve will increase gradually, while the bottom points will decrease progressively. When the vibration motor is moving in the negative direction of the horizontal direction the change rule is opposite to the case of positive direction; if the vibration motor is 0.3 meters away from the focus of screen, the vertical vibration amplitude of the points on the sieve reaches the maximum value. The research results are of considerable significance to reasonably design parameters for vibrating screen working well.

This paper analyses the possibility of increasing the efficiency of loading the destroyed rock mass into the face scraper conveyor by the lagging screw actuator of the shearer in the process of coal mining in the complex mechanized treatment faces of coal mines. It was taken into account that the most significant influence on the loading efficiency of coal is exerted by the dimensions of the cross-sectional area of the loading window, the distance between the screw and conveyor and the height of the bottom of the conveyor. Non-traditional technical solutions are proposed that reduce the negative impact of the gap between the screw and the conveyor on the efficiency of coal loading by the lagging screw actuator of shearers and increase the degree of filling of the conveyor groove. Technical solutions contribute to the formation of a rational section of the cargo flow in the trough of the downhole conveyor and, therefore, increase its productivity. The results of modeling the process of loading coal onto the face conveyor by an auger actuator with an additional loading device are presented. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed constructive technical solutions for the interface unit in the loading area confirmed an increase of 2.94 times the maximum capacity of the screw executive body for loading coal onto the face conveyor while 2.7 times less specific energy consumption during loading.
The article discusses improvement of broken coal loading on armored face conveyor by tailgate drum of a shearer in the course of fully mechanized coal mining. The scope of the analysis covers coal flow in the zone of coal–pick interaction, axial displacement between vanes, passive removal from the drum to the conveyor as well as coal flow formation on the conveyor. The features and constraints of coal flow in each zone are discussed. It is shown that the highest influence on the coal loading efficiency is exerted by the drum and conveyor spacing, discharge window size and the face side height of the conveyor. The discharge window coefficient is introduced. It is pointed at the required reduction in the coal flow resistance by increasing the cross-section area of the discharge window and the volume of coal loading zone on the conveyor. The discharge window cross-section area is increased by implementing the proposed integrated engineering solutions, in particular, conical drum web, ranging arm frame structure and decreased depth of cross-section of the supporting beam. The accepted new design enables increasing maximum loading capacity of the shearer tailgate drum, decreasing dust formation and coal fineness in the process of coal removal from cutting zone and loading on conveyor, as well as reducing energy consumption.

This paper analyzes the processes of removing coal from the area of its dislodging and loading the disintegrated mass onto face conveyors by auger heads of shearer-loader machines. The loading process is assumed to consist of four subprocesses: dislodging coal, removal of the disintegrated mass by auger blades from the crushing area, passive transportation of the disintegrated mass, and forming the load flow on the bearing surface of a face conveyor. Each of the considered subprocesses is different in its physical nature, the number of factors influencing it, and can be complex or multifactor. Possibilities of improving the efficiency of loading coal onto a face conveyor are addressed. The selected criteria of loading efficiency are load rate, specific energy consumption, and coal size reduction. Efficiency is improved by reducing the resistance to movement of the disintegrated mass during loading by increasing the area of the loading window section and the volume of the loading area on the conveyor, as well as by coordination of intensity of flows related to the considered processes in local areas.
