Dr. Fernández-Veledo (Ph.D., University of Barcelona, 2004) is a biomedical researcher with demonstrated experience in bench-to-bedside research focused on obesity and its related comorbidities. She leads the DIAMET research group (www.diamet.org) at Institut d’Investigació Sanitària Pere Virgili (Tarragona, Spain). Dr. Fernández-Veledo is coauthor of more than 70 articles (22 as senior/correspondence author) and has participated in more than 100 national and international meetings. She has led several research projects and is coauthor of three patents. Dr. Fernández-Veledo regularly collaborates with the Spanish Agency of Research and has wide experience in graduate/postgraduate training at several Spanish Universities. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the Medical School at University Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain).
