Biography

Magdalena Jabłońska-Czapla is a doctor of chemical sciences (2006), a habilitated doctor of technical sciences in the field of environmental engineering (2016), and a professor of Institute (2019). She is interested in molecular and atomic spectroscopy. Her research interests include transformations and mobility of metal(loid)s and their species in the environment using techniques such as EDXRF, ICP-MS, HPLC-ICP-MS. In her work, she focuses on fractionation and speciation of ionic forms of selected metals/metalloids—i.e., As, Sb, Cr, Tl, Ge, Te—in various elements of the environment. She is currently conducting research on the impact of WEEE plants on the increase in the content of selected TCEs in the environment.
