Prof. Bakhtiyor Rasulev is an Associate Professor and Head of the Computational Polymer Science Lab at the Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials, North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, USA. He was a Research Scientist at the Center for Computationally Assisted Science and Technology previously. His research is focused on developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based predictive models to design novel bio-based polymeric materials, and nanomaterials and to predict their various properties, including toxicity, solubility, elasticity, degradation rate, etc. For this purpose, he applies cheminformatics methods, such as QSAR, quantum-mechanical calculations, protein–ligand docking, and data mining.
