Main fields of interest regard the engineering of microorganisms for the production of molecules with biotechnological applications (eg.polysaccharides with pharmaceutical applications, building blocks used as precursors for the production of bioplastics, proteins and hormones, viable probiotics) and the development of fermentation and purification processes from lab to pilot scale also in collaboration with industrial partners.
