Prof. Yamume Tshomba is a specialist in Vascular Surgery, Full Professor and Director of the School of Specialization in Vascular Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, and Head of the Complex Operational Unit of Vascular Surgery at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Gemelli IRCCS in Rome. He deals with the surgical and endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms and aneurysms and dissections of the thoracic and thoracoabdominal aorta including the aortic arch. He is also an expert in the diagnosis and surgical and endovascular treatment of carotid stenosis and obstructive diseases affecting the arteries of the lower limbs, as well as in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of venous insufficiency of the lower limbs. Prof. Tshomba has on his CV the membership of the most prestigious scientific societies in the sector, including the Italian Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, the French Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and the American Society of Vascular Surgery. Prof. Tshomba's research activity is varied and essentially covers all fields of vascular surgery with over 200 publications, of which over 140 were published in the most prestigious national and international journals.
