Tomasz Krupa has a Ph.D (WULS-SGGW) and is a Head of Department. He has been employed since 2006 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pomology and Horticultural Economics. In 2007 and 2009, he held scientific internships at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and at the Rome Research Institute of Fruit Growing. His scientific interests include the evaluation of fruit quality and storability; the assessment of health-promoting properties; the sensory evaluation of fruits; the effect of pre- and post-harvest technologies on fruit quality; and fertilization and protection treatments to improve fruit quality during vegetative growth. He is a Member of the Polish Society of Horticultural Sciences (Member of the Board of the Warsaw Branch).
