I am a plant molecular biologist and statistical geneticist with over a decade of experience in advanced plant breeding, biotechnology, and applied genomics. I hold a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding – Statistical Genetics from the University of Tehran (2017), preceded by an M.Sc. in Plant Breeding (2011) and a B.Sc. in Agriculture – Agronomy & Plant Breeding (2006). My academic and industry work has covered a broad range of research topics, including: 🌱 In vitro culture and regeneration of medicinal and ornamental plants 🌾 Haploid induction and doubled haploid (DH) production 📊 Statistical modeling and prediction of complex quantitative traits 💧 Breeding for abiotic stress tolerance (drought, salinity) 🧬 CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing in crop improvement 🧪 Molecular marker development and genotyping for trait selection After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Tissue and Cell Culture at ABRII (Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran), I served as an Assistant Professor of Statistical Genetics at AREEO. Currently, I lead the Department of Research and Development in Molecular Biology at Cerela, focusing on integrating molecular tools into agricultural innovation pipelines.
