Professor Li Yanhua is the director of the Department of Animal Pharmacy at Northeast Agricultural University. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (1995) and Master’s (2000) and Doctoral degrees (2003) in Basic Veterinary Medicine from Northeast Agricultural University, Heilongjiang province, Harbin. She was admitted to the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan (August 2009-September 2010) as a visiting scholar. She is currently the Executive Director of the Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. Her research is focused on the use of traditional Chinese medicine to mitigate the effects of pathogenic diseases and the development of new veterinary drugs.
