Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1999), with specialization in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology from Université de Lyon I and a PhD in Pediatrics - Pediatric Oncology from Université de Grenoble I (2006), focusing on epigenetic alterations of childhood neuroblastomas and ependymomas. She served as Head of the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Service at Hospital da Criança Santo Antônio in Porto Alegre (2013-2015). Currently, she is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Graduate Program in Child and Adolescent Health at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She also serves as Head of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Inpatient Unit and the Translational Pediatrics Laboratory at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. She is an active member of the Pediatric Committee of the Brazilian Association of Hematology and Hemotherapy (ABHH) and the Palliative Care Committee of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP). With extensive experience in Pediatrics, with an emphasis on Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, she stands out for her leadership in research projects and guidance of undergraduate and graduate students. Her research has been published in renowned scientific journals, and she regularly participates in international conferences, where she is also an invited speaker.
