Good knowledge of the institutional and European legal framework of food safety control. Skilled in international accreditation processes following ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and in statistical methods applied to the validation and quality control of analytical data. On-going education achieved by participating in several national conferences and training courses, mostly on biotoxin control. Lecturer in several training courses of the national health system dealing mainly with marine biotoxins. Involved in several research activities aiming to assess the low background levels of emerging contaminants and emerging marine biotoxins in different environmental compartments, often using biota as bio-indicators. Author or co-author of several scientific publications (international and national journals and conference proceedings), mostly on contaminant and biotoxin analytical method development and environmental and food monitoring.
