Serge Benichou was the French Director of the International Associated Laboratory “VIRHOST”, a collaboration between IPS-CAS and French research institutions (CNRS, University Paris-Descartes, Insermand Institut Pasteur Paris). Since 1997, he has been supervising the team “Viral Proteins and Intracellular Trafficking” in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Cochin Institute (CNRS, Inserm, and University Paris-Descartes) in Paris, France. He was awarded at the European Conference on AIDS (Vienna, Austria). He also received an award for a 1st-class permanent staff scientist position at CNRS. He was a visiting professor at the Institut Pasteur Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, in 2016.
