Xinli Xia is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding, College of Biological Sciences and Technology, Beijing Forestry University, China. She is the director of the Plant Physiology Teaching and Research Office. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Central China Normal University in 1992 and received a master's and PhD from Beijing Forestry University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Biology, Seoul National University, South Korea from 2002 to 2003. She served as a lecturer at Beijing Forestry University from 1999 to 2001, associate professor from 2001 to 2008, and became professor in 2009. She is currently a director of the Chinese Society of Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology, secretary-general of the Tree Physiology and Biochemistry Committee of the Chinese Forestry Society, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Poplar Committee, and a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Forestry Society. She is invited to serve as a reviewer for SCI publications in the fields of plant physiology and molecular biology such as Plant Physiology, PLoS ONE, Tree Genetics & Genomes, Journal of Experimental Botany, and BMC Genomics. Her main research areas include plant stress physiology and plant stress molecular biology.
