Amos Lal is a pulmonary and critical care medicine consultant at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA. His major clinical and research interests include sepsis, quality improvement, and the use of artificial intelligence and digital twin technology to improve outcomes in critical care. Dr. Lal’s research focuses on clinical research related to infections in intensive care units, pulmonary diseases, and the improvement of quality of care for the critically ill. Dr. Lal has published over 150 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals internationally and has given presentations on his work at multiple international meetings and academic conferences. His diverse publication portfolio includes work on pulmonary diseases, infectious diseases, noninvasive cardiology, and critical care/intensive care medicine.
His other areas of interest include improvement in healthcare delivery for underserved areas internationally by providing clinical care and teaching in developing countries such as Cambodia and Haiti.
