Raman Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Ludhiana (Punjab), India. He completed his B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) and M. Tech. (Production Engineering) from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana (Punjab), and a Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) from I. K. G. Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar—Kapurthala, India. He has five years of industry experience and sixteen years of teaching as well as research experience in the field of design, analysis, strength of materials, optimization of processes, and multi-criteria decision-making. He was recognized as the world’s top 2% Scientist by Stanford University for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, and 2024). He is a member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and has been awarded the Best Teacher Award at the ISTE Annual Faculty Convention in the Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir Sections.
