Ru Angelie Edrada-Ebel earned a Master of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of the Philippines, Manila, Philippines, in 1992, and a Doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Biology from the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, Germany. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Analysis at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. She is also the head of the Natural Products Metabolomics Group (NPMG). She has published more than 100 papers and holds two patents on marine natural products. She serves as a referee for more than ten peer-reviewed journals on marine natural products and is a member of the editorial board of Marine Drugs.
