Jung Mogg Kim received his M.D. and Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Hanyang University College of Medicine in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He worked as a Research Scientist at the Laboratory of Mucosal Immunology of the University of California, San Diego, USA. He is presently a Professor and Chief of the Department of Microbiology, Hanyang University College of Medicine. His research interests include the host–parasite relationships in mucosal immunology.
