Dr.-Ing. Andreas Hornig is Co-Head of the research group “Computational Methods and Simulation” at the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology at the TU Dresden. His expertise and research focus lies on the deformation and failure assessment of composite structures subjected to crash and impact loading scenarios. A major part of his work is dedicated to the Rolls-Royce UTC for Lightweight Structures and Materials and Robust Design, with which he is he is involved since 2007.
