Fuhua Li earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Xiamen University and completed her PhD studies at the Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She now is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has long carried out scientific exploration and technology research and development involving the reproductive biology, functional genomics, and genetic breeding of invertebrates, especially shrimps, and has achieved a series of innovative results. She has presided over more than 20 national-level scientific research projects, including one national key R&D plan project, one National Natural Science Foundation key project, two National Natural Science Foundation of China international (regional) cooperation projects, six National Natural Science Foundation general projects, etc. She has published more than 80 SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author in Nature Communication, PLoS Biology, etc. She has obtained more than 20 national invention patent authorizations and 2 international PCT patent authorizations, cultivated 3 new varieties of shrimp that have been nationally approved, and obtained provincial and ministerial rewards.
