CURRENT ACADEMIC APPOINTMENT: Senior Assistant Professor of Physiology, Alma Mater Studiorum Università Di Bologna, Italy. TEACHING ACTIVITIES • Human Physiology and Basics of Physiopathology, Bachelor’s Degree: Course in Biological Sciences, Alma Mater Studiorum Università Di Bologna. • Environmental Physiology, Master's Degree: Course in Health professions of Prevention Sciences, Alma Mater Studiorum Università Di Bologna. Group leader of the Laboratory of Environmental Physiology—Dept. of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences, Alma Mater Studiorum Università Di Bologna. I have expertise in cell physiology, cell signaling pathways and networks. My research focus is targeted in cellular and molecular events sustaining and modulating the inflammatory phenotype. In particular, I am interested in (1) the relationship between inflammation and Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor pathway; (2) the environmental etiology of inflammation, with particular regard to endocrine interference. I am also interested in NSAIDs' modulating effects of cell proliferation, with a particular attention in cyclooxygenase /lipoxygenase inhibition and membrane-related events
