Dr. Christophe Morisseau is a Biochemist with expertise in protein purification, enzyme kinetics, enzyme inhibition, HTS assay and library screening, organic synthesis, cell and microorganism cultures, and enzymatic reactors. Currently, he is a Research Scientist at the Department of Entomology, University of California, Davis and he is directing a group of 15–20 researchers working on the biology and pharmaceutical applications of epoxide hydrolase inhibition in diabetes, pulmonary and cardiovascular diseases. He has over 20 years of experience working on epoxide hydrolase, first during his Ph.D. in organic chemistry working with Professor Furstoss in Marseille on the use of epoxide hydrolases in bioorganic chemistry, and since 1996 working on this NIEHS grant. During his Post-doctoral studies, I developed the first stable highly potent inhibitor of human soluble epoxide hydrolase.
