Dr. Kailun Zheng received a B.S. in Materials Forming and Control Engineering and an M.S. in Materials Processing Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, in 2017. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Imperial College London from 2017 to 2019. He then joined the School of Mechanical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology as an associate professor and has been a professor since 2020. His research focuses on the urgent need the light weight and high reliability of high-end carrier equipment in the aerospace field, and guided by the main alloy materials of the equipment, we are engaged in research on the basic theory, key processes, and multi-scale modeling of precision hot forming of difficult-to-deform light-alloy thin-walled parts: theory of plasticity and multi-scale modeling of hot deformation of high-performance light alloys; key processes for precision hot forming of complex thin-walled integral structures; integrated shape control methods; and intelligent equipment for high-performance hot forming processes.
