Dr Robert Martin is a private sector agricultural scientist based in Cambodia since 2011. He specialises in weed science and crop protection. Bob was Professor of Primary Industries Innovation at the University of New England Australia from 2007-2011 and prior to that he was Research Leader for Agricultural Systems with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries Australia from 1993-2007. Bob was Principal Officer of Weed Science in the Western Australian Department of Agriculture 1989-1993. Bob completed his PhD on the ecology and control of Xanthium species in 1982. He has been co-author on 40 scientific papers on agricultural systems and weed science.
