Prof. Giovanna Zimatore received a degree in Physics, a specialization in Health Physics, and a PhD in Biophysics all from the University of Rome "Sapienza". She received a second PhD in Neuroscience (Psychopathology of the Facial Cervix District) at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome. From 2009 to 2018, she was associated with CNR-IDASC—the Institute of Acoustics and Sensors "Orso Mario Corbino". Since 2020, she has been associated with the CNR-IMM—the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems, Bologna, Italy. She is currently an Associate Professor of Applied Physics in the Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences, eCampus University. Her main areas of interest focus on the dynamics of complex phenomena of biomedical significance through linear and nonlinear statistical techniques like multivariate analysis and recurrence quantification analysis; biomedical processes; instrumentation, measurements, and acquisition techniques for biomedical data, signals, and images; and methods, algorithms, and procedures for data processing.
