Andreea Iren Serban has a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry, an M.Sc. degree in Neurobiology, and a Ph.D. degree in Biology. Since 2017, she has been a Ph.D. advisor at the University of Bucharest in the field of Biology. She is full professor at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, teaching biochemistry and molecular biology techniques applied in veterinary medicine courses. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of antioxidants, food biochemistry, and biotoxin toxicology at the cellular and tissue level in relation to inflammation and oxidative stress. Her publications (more than 75 works: articles, books, communications) are represented by a Hirsch index of 16 (Google Scholar), 15 (Web of Science), and 15 (Scopus) with more than 1150 citations.
