Dr. Nawin Raj is currently a Senior Lecturer (Mathematics) at the School of Mathematics, Physics, and Computing, Institute of Life Sciences and the Environment, University of Southern Queensland, Darling Heights, QLD, Australia. He received his PhD degree from the University of Southern Queensland. His research interests mainly include Oceanography, Applied Mathematics, Nonlinear dynamics, the general theory of nonlinear oscillations and waves, Theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, Artificial Intelligence Modelling, Machine Learning, and Climate Change. He is a member of the Queensland College of Teachers and a member of the Australian Society of Mathematicians. His current research topics include Modelling and Optimisation of Wind Power with Artificial Intelligence Approaches, and Disaster Risk Early Warning Systems (Flood Forecasting with Copula Models and Deep-Learning Algorithms).
