Junmei Wang is a tenured Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a member of the Computational Chemical Genomics Screening Center, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He received his PhD from Peking University in China, and was trained as a postdoctoral associate at the University of California, San Francisco. Before joining the University of Pittsburgh, he was an associate professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is also a long-term active developer of the Amber force field and software. He and other collaborators developed a set of popular AMBER forcefields, including FF99, GAFF/GAFF2/GAFF3, and polarizable FF based on Thole's dipole-interaction models as well as the Antechamber module implemented in AMBER software packages. His research interests include Computational Chemistry and Biophysics, Drug Discovery and Development, and Systems Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics.
