I am an Automation Engineer and I have recently completed my PhD in BioRobotics. My research works started in the aerospace field with the design of an autopilot for a helicopter to simplify the task of the pilot and create a more intuitive way of controlling the vehicle in hovering. Since I started my PhD, I have been working in the field of marine robotics with the conceptualization, design and control of underwater legged vehicles featuring elastic elements in their legs to embody the running dynamics described by a Spring Loaded Inverted Pendulum model.
