Guido Grassi is a full-time professor of internal medicine at the University Milano-Bicocca and Director of the Clinica Medica Institute at Saint Gerardo Hospital-Monza/Milano (Italy). In 2007, he was appointed “Wright Lecturer” at the Annual Meeting of the High Blood Pressure Council of Australia. In 2009, he received the Bjorn Folkow Award and Lecture from the European Society of Hypertension (ESH). He has published more than 600 original papers and reviews in major scientific international journals (H index 96). He is the Executive Editor of the Journal of Hypertension, Co-Editor of Current Hypertension Reviews, and a member of the editorial board of major international scientific journals. In 2017, he received the Talaj Zein Award from the ESH, and in 2018, the Paul Korner Award from the International Society of Hypertension. In 2018, he was appointed ESC/ESH expert reviewer of the 2018 ESC/ESH Guidelines document on hypertension. He was the President of the Italian Society of Hypertension from 2019 to 2022.
