Dr. Attila Mándi is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Organic Chemistry, University of Debrecen. He received his master’s degree in chemistry (major) and German–Hungarian translation (minor) in 2005 from the University of Debrecen, a master’s degree in English–Hungarian translation (minor) in 2009, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry in 2012, both from the same university. His research interests include molecular modeling: investigation on the structure and reaction mechanism of small organic molecules (especially on derivatives of carbohydrates, antibiotics and flavonoids) by means of quantum-chemical and molecular dynamics methods, and elucidation of the absolute and relative configuration of natural and synthetic derivatives by means of chiroptical, DFT, and TD-DFT methods. He is the author of over 180 peer-reviewed publications.
