Bogdan Socea currently works at the Department of Surgery, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. He graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, in 2000. He received his Ph.D. degree in medicine at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2007. Between 2010 and 2012, he conducted postdoctoral research in “Epiploic experimental revascularization of the lower limb” and in 2023 he was awarded the habilitation title. He became an associate professor at “Sf. Pantelimon” Emergency Clinic Hospital, Department of General Surgery, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, and a senior surgeon. He conducted research in Colorectal Cancer, Pancreatic Diseases, Parietal Pathology, Antibiotic Substances, Diabetology, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Bariatric Surgery. He is attested in abdominal and general ultrasound, laparoscopic surgery, oncologic surgery, and sanitary management. He graduated from several other courses: a postgraduate course in digestive endoscopy and bariatric surgery, contrast-enhanced ultrasound course, evaluation methods of clinical research, abdominal wall defects workshop, hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery, breast cancer course, scientific papers editing, malpraxis course, educational course day surgery. He is also a member of several editorial boards.
